for no limit a bank roll of 20 buy-ins is recommended. There is no hard and fast rule but through many online players experience this level of bankroll will absorb the variance you are likely to encounter. so for nl50 you should have at least $1000 for it to be your stable game. if you are a reg at nl25 and you have say $800-$900 then there is no harm taking a shot which is what i did about a month ago but it didn't go to plan so i had to drop back down and rebuild.

thanks mate, nl50 means nl = no limit and the 50 represents the big blind, or max buy-in which is usually 100 big blinds. so the 50 = 25c/50c. so no limit 10c/25c would be nl25 and $5/$10 would be nl1000.
